Sometimes a story starts very small - with a dream, a passion and a garage full of ideas. That's how it was with us at Auto Kalkofen. Our workshop was founded out of a deep love for cars, especially US vehicles and classic cars. In the beginning, we only imported, restored and rebuilt cars from the USA for ourselves. But as it happens, word quickly got around about what we could do. A freight forwarder became aware of us and introduced us to our first customers. And a collaboration soon turned into a whole network - until our little idea developed into the company we are today.
We have been serving our customers in Stresemannstraße with passion and expertise since 1993. Our workshop is a genuine family business with over 30 years of experience and a well-coordinated team of master mechanics who give their best every day. What drives us is still our passion for cars - especially for US models and classic cars, where every vehicle tells its own story.

Today, our employees are at the port every day to take delivery of new, used and vintage vehicles. All brands are refitted with the utmost care and repaired if necessary
Customers from the USA and Europe, but also from Dubai, Japan, Canada and many more rely on our services. Large vehicle manufacturers also have conversions and approvals carried out here. Importers and exporters are also regular customers of ours. The 6000 ㎡ premises include a service reception, workshop building, vehicle halls, parking and exhibition areas.

Jörg Bäuerle joined the company as a stepson - a GbR was founded.
The first employees are hired - the team grows.
The site is extended once again and a new storage hall and a large modern workshop are built.
Mr. Kalkofen retires - Jörg Bäuerle takes over and his wife Ivonne Bäuerle joins him.
